True Sport in Action
Pre-Conference Session (optional)

Playing together shapes the way we live together. The power of sport is immense and when good sport happens we are instilling character in our children, strengthening our organizations and creating stronger, healthier, happier, safer and more connected communities.
Be part of this important conversation as we discuss what good sport is and why is it important. Learn how the True Sport initiative provides the solid foundation to help build the sport we want for ALL and at ALL levels of participation. Be inspired by the successful stories of how incorporating good sport principles has made a difference in communities and in their participants’ lives. Most importantly participants will leave with practical ways to incorporate value based principles into programs in your communities remembering that an Olympic rowing squad can embrace these principles with the same sense of pride and purpose as an elementary school, an old-timers’ league, or a community hockey arena.
We need all your voices because good sport doesn’t happen by chance – be part of promoting the positive things that sport teaches us about teamwork, respect for others and putting your best foot forward all the time – win, lose or draw.
RCM is pleased to offer this session in collaboration with Sport Manitoba, Coaching Manitoba, Recreation and Regional Services and True Sport Lives Here Manitoba.
Note: This is a child friendly event.
